Motorcyclist Injured in Collision on New Hampshire Avenue

cyclist struckPHOTO: A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being injured in a crash on New Hampshire Avenue this evening.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 PM at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Medina Road.

The rider was reportedly thrown from his bike and suffered several injuries.

EMS and Lakewood First Aid responded to the scene, and transported the man to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus with non life-threatening injuries.

Note: Family and friends of the other driver would like to thank Officer Steve Kawalski, Badge #319, for his professionalism in dealing with the visibly-shaken driver, who he calmed down.
