PHOTOS: A person was shot in a Lakewood shooting range moments ago, sources tell TLS. Police responded to the Shore Shot shooting range around 6 PM and upon arrival found an approximately 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound, with a gun nearby.
The man is reportedly in critical condition. A medevac was requested for the transport.
An investigation is underway.
UPDATE: Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says the victim is from Stamford, CT. He was placed on life support in Jersey Shore Medical Center.
The investigation is being conducted by the Lakewood Police Department Detective Bureau, the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Major Crimes Unit and the Ocean County Sheriffs Department CSI unit.

I am always nervous in that place about being so close to people whom I don’t know holding guns… I was mamish thinking about going there today… Hashgacha pratis that I didn’t go!

Sorry to break it to you, Geshmakalypse, but cars are very dangerous. In fact, you are more likely to get hurt by a car than a gun in Lakewood, NJ.

Guns existed since the creation of the USA. Only unitil a few years ago did we staret seeing school shootings, Mall shootings etc…..So is it the gunb or the person? The obvius answer is it is the person. The more alarming issue that the politicians do not want to address is why? It is the elephant in the room….I will venture to say two issues:
The crumbllng of marriage, theres no father and mother available to raise children.
The violence that is preached on the TV and entertainment to the masses.
These two are a terrible mix in society that is breading a very troubled and confused youth…
My answer is the politicains should do all they can (tax breaks) to encourage married couples.
Just like they control ther ‘environment’ and regulate many aspect of life in USA They should also have more control on the entertianment industry.

People with guns are more dangerous than people without guns. SInce we are not getting rid of people, we should definitely make laws lilmiting the availability of guns. It is beyond me how so many frum people are pro gun ownership! A gun is not something I would want in my house even if it might provide protection in case of a breakin.
