Two men burglarizing vehicles were stopped when a resident shouted at them, police say.
On September 20th, Officer Matthew Rivera responded to 10th Street in response to several car burglaries that took place the evening before.
Upon arrival, area residents reported that at approximately 9:35 pm the evening before, they observed what they described as two men going through several cars.
“One of the residents shouted to the men to stop and drop any proceeds they may have,” Dsgt. Greg Staffordsmith says.
A total of four cars have reportedly been burglarized. The only items taken were a GPS unit and a woman’s wallet containing cash and credit cards. Both items were recovered on the street not far from the scene. The GPS unit was reported to be damaged by the suspects however, the wallet and its contents were still intact.
