JUST IN: Four men were arrested moments ago after fleeing from a motor vehicle crash scene, and from a stolen vehicle allegedly involved in an armed robbery.
The incident unfolded around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Pine Avenue and Avenue of Americas, where police responded for a three-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, several suspects fled the scene into the nearby woods, and a check of their plates determined that the vehicle was stolen, and allegedly the center of an armed robbery investigation.
A large perimeter was established, and about twenty minutes later, police spotted the bleeding suspects coming out of the woods in the area of Ashley Avenue. Two of the suspects were apprehended at gunpoint, while the others fled, sources say.
Moments later, the other two suspects were also spotted emerging from the nearby woods and immediately taken into custody.
The four subjects were transported to police headquarters.
A portion of the intersection is shut for the investigation.
At least one person injured in the accident was transported by Hatzolah to Jersey Shore Medical Center.

Major accident on Rt. 88 in between N. Oakland & Cherry St. Approx 25 minutes ago. Car took out two property fences and a light pole. Driver in very serious condition. Road will be closed for several hours.

That was my sister in one of the cars, she is safe and home but in a lot of pain. Thank god that there were no fatalities. Thank you lpd for finding those (moderated). Our car is 100% totaled but she’s safe and that all that matters. I can get a new car but I can’t replace my sister

One of the vehicles involved in the accident was my car driven by my daughter who was on her way to see me cuz I’m in a rehab cuz I became paralyzed from the waist down. I hope u four guys rot in jail for the rest of ur natural lives without ever having the possibility of parole. U could have killed 2 innocent people who were both injured badly in the accident. Then u run??? I’m glad my daughter saw which way u ran so u got caught. U have not heard the last of me cuz I will b at ur trial along with my daughter who is only 20 years old. N I will b speaking to make sure that the judge don’t go easy on u. U don’t deserve to see the light of day. Ur just very lucky my daughter is still alive.
Los did do a good job apprehending but if my daughter didn’t tell them which way they went then the search would have been longer if they found them when they did.
