The Lakewood Post Office today held a grand opening for their Industrial Park post office.
The office recently relocated the retail operations to the postal facility at 1820 Swarthmore Avenue, from the now-closed downtown facility on Clifton Avenue.
The new location features ample parking, a spacious lobby, 24-hour access to PO boxes and to the new Self-Service Kiosk.

Was there today, the place is very nice and being handicapped, much easier to walk into since there are NO stairs. Much easier to park too.
I saw someone looking in the window at the old postoffice. the poor couple had a carriage with a baby in it, no transportation and I guess never knew that the Clifton location was closing. what a shame. so what is going there. another school off the tax rolls???????
@ Judie. Don’t know if you have been to boro park Brooklyn in the past few years but anytime something closes another bank comes to to 13th ave. we have a total of 19 banks and growing. My guess is a bank. it looks lie a perfect building and a good spot.

The Post Office is a federal building, exempt from property taxes. So, if it does become another school there will be no change in the amount of taxes coming into the Lakewood coffers.
