In a letter to President Obama, Governor Christie demanded that New Jersey State Trooper killer Joanne Chesimard be returned to New Jersey to complete her sentence.
Chesimard, 67, was convicted in the killing of the 1973 killing of Trooper Werner Foerster. She escaped from prison and fled to Cuba.
“This needs to happen before any further consideration of restoration of diplomatic relations with the Cuban Government,” Christie wrote.
