Mayor Honors Retiring Ocean County Warden; Longest-serving Jail Warden in State’s History

warden 1PHOTOS: A ceremony was held in Town Hall this week to honor retiring Ocean County Jail Warden Theodore J. Hutler Jr. Warden Hutler was presented with a proclamation by the Township committee for his years of service to the County.

During his years as warden, Mr. Hutler has had a great relationship with Lakewood, and has assisted with issues pertaining to kosher food and many other aspects of religious accommodation.

warden 2Warden Hutler had been in charge of Ocean County’s Correctional facilities for over 34 years. He is reportedly the longest serving Jail Warden in New Jersey’s history.

    And wow a warden who spent half his life in Jail?? Amazing!!
