  1. I live in Westgate and cannot understand why it is so difficult to shovel the sidewalk and plow the streets properly!! They are all official when it comes to rent.. but when they are supposed to plow their suddenly not so official

  2. Why isn’t the inspection dept giving tickets to all residents that don’t shovel their sidewalks it’s just as important as enforcing fire regulations

  3. I live in westgate as well and when i saw the shopping plaza parking lot wasnt plowed snd was a sheet of ice i drove off ans skipped that shopping trip 🙁 loss of business for those stores!

  4. I walked back & forth on park near 2nd-4th. Where’s the sidewalk? It’s awful, now I see why so many walk in street. How do mothers manage with the kids and strollers? Put that on your safe/selfish list.

  5. Before they give out tickets, how about ensuring that the township does its job and plow and salt properly! If they did schools would not have had to delay opening today.

  6. Think inspection dept should check all over town. Most of sidewalks not shoveled, thought there was a time limit to shovel after snow stopped. It’s a homeowners resposeibilty to clear the snow.

  7. I drove around a lot and the side walks by the rentals looked pretty clean to me but the problem is that the people leave there cars on the street instead of in the parking lot makes it very hard to clean I don’t understand what is so hard to move your car to the parking lot especially when there were signs in shul and also a reminder call …. Mind boggling ….

  8. thats what happens when the residential developers do not give up the rights to the streets. The township is not responsible to maintain them. The developer is responsible to clean the streets.

many wait 24 hours for the sun to melt away why because it is less for them to pay the plow driver.

  9. That’s so interesting that you are so neg about the westgate snow clean up – yesterday at 6:30 am they had all their guys snow blowing and shoveling and plowing and today they had a plow truck all day . Next time go out and show your appreciation with a thank you or a warm drink and stop feeling the need to bash things—-
    A grateful westgate resident!!

  10. Excuse me, don’t give excuses about the cars on the street in westgate. My back entrance is to a parking lot, and let me tell you it looks like they were sleeping when they plowed!

  11. The township is not responsible for schools & sidewalks. The schools are responsible for their properties and the sidewalks as well if they are on the schools property. IN town the shop owners are responsible for cleaning up the sidewalks in front of their businesses..The twp is only responsible for the streets

  12. To parking lot… I don’t know what your talking about because I went around this afternoon to check and every parking lot in the rentals is pretty clean and I don’t mean the parking spaces I mean the driving through parts….you can go see for yourself

  13. To lakewood
I am one who hardly ever bashes things/ppl… Ppl say i am a positive person.
Westgate WAS NOT plowed and shoveled properly! And i was out this am at 6:30 as well and saw noone workin!
I was also horrified that morahs do not shovel their walkways and steps! All thy need is one person to fall and get hurt….
    BE CONSIDERATE TO OTHERS!

  14. All you out there in west gate you may not realize it but a lot of places got cleaned and then the kids come out and drag snow all over !!!!

  15. To “westgate”
    You obviusoly work for westgate…
Would u like to meet and drive around westgate together and we can look together and talk about what a “wonderul” job u did

  16. To West Gate…
You write about Parking in Parking lots instead of the street. I listened to that sign in the shul a few years ago and parked in a parking lot. My car was stuck there for 2 days because Westgate claimed that parking lot was not their responsibility to plow… So I park on the street now! Who ever puts up that sign should add to beware to park in a parking lot that west gate will plow!

  17. I would just like to know why the sidewalks going into west gate from new central are never shoveled. kids are walking in the street to go sledding. cars are coming in and out and its very dangerous. also if the snow is not gone by shabbas then everyone who davens out of west gate will also have to walk in the streets. this is a problem that has been going on for years. if its the law to shovel then west gate should be fined for not following the law.
