  1. While it’s definitely imperative that we all pay close attention to our surroundings while driving, this is an intersection where most people who’ve lived in Lakewood for some time is used to driving through WITHOUT there ever being a stop sign… Just saying.

  2. The stop sign on twin oaks by Kew gardens is meant to stop by contrary to popular belief. Ihave near misses every day perhaps I should start posting the videos

  3. Ooooooooh! I’m famous!!! That’s me blowing that stop sign! You guys can all call me for my signature and if anyone wants an interview you can reach me through my secretary that I’m about to hire for public relations.

  4. @Me!!!! Thanks for your admission of guilt. We will be contacting you at the e-mail address you left with your comment on TLS for your signature and interview at the Municipal Building. You are correct, it’s a good idea to hire a secretary (or maybe a chauffeur) to drive you home afterward and for a few months after that. See ‘ya.

  5. It’s a 4 way stop so the law is whoever comes to the stop sign first goes first. Therefore if there’s no one waiting at the intersection when you pull up there’s no reason for you to stop. So while it’s illegal it’s not unsafe or selfish. It’s just a casualty of the stupid 4 way stops all over town.

  6. @Det. Anonymous – Running a stop sign won’t get your license suspended. I’m thinking about hiring a chauffeur regardless, any interest in the job?

  7. Bad driving equals bad middos!!! the people featured on these videos know how to drive correctly they choose not to! think what it would feel like to know that your being in a rush (and whats the rush by the way?) could chas vshalom cause a bad injury or a fatality would you want something like that on your conscious?

  8. To Anon: Nice try at quoting the law, a stop sign is not a suggestion, it is just like a red light, and you must stop. Know the law and be more respectful to pedestrians, motorist, and school buses and then maybe the traffic accidents and other moving violations would be reduced and people won’t generalize about how bad Lakewood drivers are. This is take from chapter 4 of the NJ Driver’s Manuel: An intersection is controlled if there are traffic signals or signs in any direction. A motorist must obey the signals and signs. At a multi-way stop or stop intersection, a motorist must yield to the motorist on the right if both motorists get there at the same time. A motorist should also yield to another motorist already stopped at the intersection.
