Authorities this morning are investigating what appears to be a suicide at a local park, officials confirm to TLS.
Sources say police received a call shortly before 10 AM about a male who said he would committing suicide at a particular park.
Police responded to the park and found his vehicle parked in the lot, and moments later found him in the forest unresponsive from alleged suicide.
Police immediately began CPR on the party, but were unsuccessful in reviving him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man is said to be in his thirties.
Lakewood’s Detective Bureau and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident.
