A Bachur riding a bike was seriously injured this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle, officials confirm to TLS.
The Bachur, approximately 14 years old, was riding his bike on West Kennedy Boulevard around Noon when he was struck, and thrown across the road, officials say.
Hatzolah responded to the scene and found the teen unconscious, officials say.
He was wearing a helmet at the time, but the helmet shattered from the impact.
The patient is being transported by Hatzolah Paramedics to Jersey Shore Medical University Center with serious injuries.
The Traffic Safety division is investigating the incident.

we need dedicated marked bike lanes for all the mesivta bochurim and others who are at the mercy of the cars as they drive on the shoulders.
This happened to me at 8:25 pm I was driving down prospect and there were 2 boys coming Down Massachusetts (it’s a hill down for all that don’t know) they didn’t stop or even check for cars they drove right In front of me I made a short stop and went a little out if control but thank god I avoided them. young teens with no brains lets role down the hill go straight in to a busy road with cars coming they said it will b fun please worn your kids to b safe!
