Governor Christie: 150 NJ State Police Units to Deploy to Baltimore to Help Control Riots

nj state police mobile unit at trooper shot-tls-Governor Christie moments ago announced that 150 New Jersey State Police units will be deployed to Baltimore to help bring the riots under control.

“I spoke directly with Maryland Governor Larry Hogan last night and let him know that New Jersey is offering our full support & solidarity in their efforts to protect the lives and well-being of the people in the city of Baltimore while calm and order are being restored,” Christie said.

In addition, approximately 50 enlisted and civilian personnel will provide investigative and logistical support, the Governor said.

The NJSP will be on the ground for the initial term of 72 hours, as per the request from Maryland, the Governor said.

  1. They shouldn’t have killed an innocent man, but the blacks shouldn’t be rioting either, it won’t bring him back to life and it shows what kind of vilde chayos they are. They should send in the army and arrest everyone who is rioting.

  2. As someone who grew up in Baltimore, this whole situation breaks my heart and makes me angry at the same time.

    I hope this unrest doesn’t spread…

  3. Ahem. . . who gets the bill?
    In a liability law suit by the rioters decrying abuse of power, and all the other myriad of things that can go wrong in this train wreck, we NJ are paying for it?

    Send in the National Guard like in the 60’s. Man, nothing has changed.
