Hillary Clinton Announces 2016 Presidential Bid

White_houseHillary Rodham Clinton will seek the presidency for a second time, one of her top advisers said Sunday, ending two years of speculation and coy denials and immediately establishing herself as the likely 2016 Democratic nominee.

The announcement came in emails from John D. Podesta, Mrs. Clinton’s campaign chairman, to donors and others.

“I wanted to make sure you heard it first from me – it’s official: Hillary’s running for president,” the email reads. It goes on to say that Mrs. Clinton will soon meet with voters in Iowa and will host a formal kickoff event some time next month. Read more on NY Times.

TED CRUZ AND MACRO RUBIO ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE LATINO VOTER’S. GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS SHOULD WASTE THE COKE COKE BROTHERS MONEY AND THE NRA!!!!TAKE THAT MONEY AND BUILD HOMELESS SHELTERS OR FIX THE PULASKI BRIDGE SO..WE DON’T TIE UP ALL TRAFFIC ON 440 AND ROUTE 1AND 9..

  2. What are her accomplishments, that she should be so highly regarded? Name one. She has held two elected offices and everything she touched was a disaster.

  3. She should take her campaign right from of Bill’s playbook:

    “The key to success in politics is sincerity.If you could fake that,you have it made.”

  4. Ms Clinton is a shoe-in for the following reasons:

    !. She’s a woman, more woman vote than men and most polls have them voting for her.
    2. She’s a Democrat, the minorities and liberal groups that propelled Obama into office will vote for her.
    3. Republican candidates are pandering to the tea party/ religious far
    right conservative groups that have a firm grip on the party. Unless a moderate , centralist candidate appears which will appeal to independent and undecided voters, Republicans are about to lose their third presidential election, and lose it worse than the Goldwater fiasco.

  5. #9 Oldmansfury: you are full of sound and fury, but your post signifies nothing.
    1. You’d be amazed at how many women do NOT like Hilary;
    2. The minorities are not nearly as devoted to a 60-something rich white lady as they were to an African American (half white, but identified as black) Obama; The liberal base of the party is also extremely wary of her: they don’t think she’s reliable enough on the cutting edge progressive issues. Hence, there’s a lot of rumbling for a Warren or O’Malley candidacy;

    3. Republican Moderates like Ford, McCain, Dole, Romney and G.H.W.Bush’s second campaign all gave us Democrats in the White House. Goldwater was simply ahead of his time and subjected to one of the most vicious smear campaigns in modern American Presidential politics. Reagan proved the winning formula of the positive message of conservatism: unleash the creative power of the American people, lower taxes, smaller government, more freedom, solid values and strong defense. America was respected around the world by friend and foe alike; at home, over 20 million good middle class jobs were created.

    Hillary should not be picking out curtains for the White House just yet.
