A person was stabbed in downtown Lakewood late Sunday night, officials confirm to TLS.
The man was stabbed inside a Second Street restaurant at around 11:30 PM, officials say. The suspect reportedly walked into the restaurant, stabbed the man twice in the abdomen area and then fled the scene.
The victim is approximately in his twenties.
Lakewood First Aid treated the victim at the scene, and then transported him to Jersey Shore Medical University Center. Injuries were said not to be life-threatening.
An investigation is underway.
