Authorities are investigating an armed home invasion that occurred in Lakewood this afternoon, police confirm to TLS.
Police say an unidentified Hispanic man, wearing a wool hat and armed with a knife, broke into an East 4th Street home and held up the weapon to a woman inside, threatening her.
The man, who was not known to the victim, then fled the home. The homeowner was not injured, police say.
Lakewood’s Detective Bureau, along with Ocean County Sheriff’s K9 and CSI are investigating the incident.
