Two Lakewood Police Officers were involved in an accident this afternoon – with each other, officials say.
The unidentified officers were driving in their personal vehicles in the area of Williams Street shortly before 3 PM when they crashed into each other, officials say.
Officials say the officers were not injured in the collision, and the incident is under investigation.

to City Member: most time officers are on the phones for different reasons. Perhaps they had to call in to hq for a message that could not wait; or they are getting information that can not be placed over the radio for security reasons.

NO one should ever say anything about being on the phone while driving. You all do it. I even saw someone reading a book while driving. Not very smart.
