  1. @Abe why must they say?? TLS u don’t have to say. In fact thank you for not saying, on behalf of the first responders there.

  2. Not sure what is so valuable in post #3’s comment that she is getting such high marks. Lakewood is a magnificent town. The fact that this town is well known around the world speaks for itself as to what this town is all about. Having said that, yes sure there are growing concerns with ever increasing gang activity, drugs, shootings and all else …and that needs to be addressed but to suggest that this town is not a town worth living in…..I think post #3 is either missing, or missed something whilst she was living here..

  3. Just keep letting all those investors make money while our neighborhoods become full of shootings and gangs…you can get them out…by protesting in front of their houses children and wives and by calling the police for suspicious activities and overcrowding
Or you can keep silent and watch THEM make money!
    good luck lakewood!

  4. @#11 i don’t know if you grew up in an attic or hit your head as a child, but your comment shows a lack of brain activity. just because someone developed a development does’nt mean they condone violence and just because someone invested in a development doesnt mean they somehow caused gang violence. its jealous people like you in the world that makes it a sour place. if you got a problem with people making money then grow a brain and make some yourself. the fact that you include money into your comment shows a lack of understanding. protesting in front of peoples family on the sole fact that they have money is so ridiculous and shallow. please keep your ignorance to yourself.

  5. By not caring who they rent to and express so in front of other people, they show their lack of sensibility.
But you may be smarter and know how to tell other people to grow a brain, and that might solve the issues.
Or you could bury your head in the sand and make believe this is not in your backyard or move to Jackson, dr pizza.

  6. I feel as a community we need to get it all together and stop this violence. Its a shame that people want to blame police for doing their job. if we can stop the drugs and gang violence we wouldn’t see as much police. wat happened to the old days where guns didn’t make yu tough boxing it out did, where when death happened to some one in thhe community and everybody else felt just as hurt as the family,

  7. To Back Home seems like you have a particular investor in mind. Most investors care who they rent property to. It is beneficial for them short and long term to get good tenants.

If it would be a place that is hard to rent and they are desperate for tenants, that would be one thing, however it is relatively easy to get good tenants in Highpoint.

I have managed large apartment buildings, some of them HUD buildings, and from my experience, the biggest problems I had was with “single mothers” who would rent the apartments only to have their partners move in with them afterwords. Their partners were often involved in criminal activity.

It would seem this would be easy to avoid, but it is not. It is hard to proe who actually is sleeping in an apartment at night, and you can’t reject applicants based on your suspicions, or you will be accused of discrimination.

One thing I can tell you, is no landlord wants criminal activity on their property. aside for being liable in lawsuits, do you really think anyone wants to deal with , what the owner of this unit in Highpoint is dealing with right now?
