Lakewood UEZ to Offer Dynamic Seminar & Networking Event: Numbers Made Easy

UEZPart of the Lakewood Urban Enterprise Zone’s (UEZ) Business Link Initiative is a mission to help businesses overcome the challenges and frustrations of operating a business especially in today’s highly- competitive environment; understanding your business’ financial position, being one of those challenges.

The UEZ’s Business Link will host its next networking event on Monday, July 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Reception Gallery at the Strand in downtown Lakewood and will spotlight “Numbers Made Easy” with guest speaker Ed Mendlowitz, CPA and Partner at Withumsmith+Brown.

Mr. Mendlowitz has over forty years of experience advising clients across broad spectrums of business, investing and financial empowerment and security. He has become the go-to-person for many clients and other CPAs. His presentation will include discussions on labor, cash flow and break even analysis.

Who should attend: Retail Store owners, service business owners, sales professionals, supervisors and managers, bookkeepers and anyone interested in opening a business.

“The focus of these networking events is to provide local entrepreneurs and business owners, sales people, professionals, bankers and job seekers with an opportunity to network with each other in an informal setting. It also provides a forum to learn about relevant business topics, share problems and solutions, brainstorm for ideas, make new leads and build alliances.” stated Patricia Komsa, executive director of the LDC and UEZ Coordinator. This is a free program funded by the UEZ and all businesses are welcome to attend. Registration for the event is requested.

Business Link is supported through a partnership with the Lakewood Development Corporation’s Urban Enterprise Zone program and the Lakewood Community Service Corporation.

Attendees are encouraged to preregister and to submit questions for the speaker in advance.
