PHOTO: This is what one Resident Did with the Missionary Material he Received

44“These guys dropped this off on my deck in the Albert area. Sorry I have no time to read it, but I do have time for some fun.”

That’s what one of the many residents who are recently being clobbered with missionary material wrote us today.

In recent days, missionaries have again come out in droves around Lakewood, attempting to engage residents in conversation.

They were seen in many south-of-the-lake neighborhoods today, in Raintree over the weekend, and on the west side of Lakewood last week.

In one area, they were even distributing pamphlets in Hebrew, apparently in an attempt to attract more Jews. Photos of those papers are not being shown.

  1. This seems like it took way to much effort than what it’s worth. And I honestly find this disrespectful. Just because you don’t agree with whatever their preaching doesn’t mean you should burn their literature. Just simply throw it away. What if the shoe was on the other foot and someone did this to our literature. I would find that just as disrespectful. Just because we don’t believe the same things as others doesn’t mean we should go around and blatantly disrespect them by burning their literature, taking a picture of it and post it for others to see. We should think before we act.

  2. @ # 4. No, we don’t shove our material in front of non-jews all day. They should be getting the message and stop forcing it down our throats. They are pests already. Get the message and move on to another town, stop littering my neighborhood week after week. Perhaps this will send a message of what we think of their ‘messiah’ garbage. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, their ‘messiah’ was once jewish too. Perhaps this is their way of ‘getting back’ at the jews.

  3. did you get a burn permit for that? I had such a fire on Lag B’omer and the fireman said I have to put it out since I didn’t take out a permit

  4. thanks to these nut jobs now when Lakewood Jews hear of “Christians” they’re gonna think of this small group of people who don’t leave anybody alone forcing their religion on others. Trust me, they don’t represent the majority of the good ones

  5. Wow – TLS posts a story of a guy burning this stuff and it gets 13 posts. Mine is the 14th. A few stories down is Pollard getting released and gets 11 posts. I didnt even post on that story. What is the matter with us/me?
