In a few days, the Township parking lot between 3rd and 4th streets will have nearly two dozen more parking spots.
Trees and other obstacles were removed from the crowded lot in order to make room for an additional 22 parking spaces.
The spaces are being situated on the eastern and northern sides of the lot.
The lot neighbors the Inspection Department and Municipal Building, which also contains the court. During Mondays and Thursdays, the area is especially congested due to court sessions.

There would be more parking spaces if the town had not put in “Red Square”, as it’s nick-named. Parking spaces were taken from the parking lot to put it in.
It’s wonderful. Now there will be room for people to park. They should have special 1 hour parking spots. Enforced!
It is sad that “Trees” are considered an obstacle in Lakewood. We are going to have to change the name of the town soon, not going to be any woods left.

i’m watching it become that for more then 20 years already week by week as more houses get squashed in and trees are removed
a parking garage along side the court and inspections is needed.
