Four people filed to run for three open three-year-term seats on the Board Of Education, and nobody filed for the available one-year-term seat.
Incumbents David Jacobovitch, Tracey Tift and Heriberto Rodriguez filed for the three-year-term seats, along with newcomer Hillel Brull.
The petition filing deadline was yesterday afternoon.
Members up for reelection are, Joel Schwartz, and the seats vacated by Yoni Silver, Chaim Rosenblatt and Lee Mund. The latter three seats are currently filled by Heriberto Rodriguez, David Jakobowitz and Tracy Tift.
The one-year-term seat will be filled by whoever receives the most write-ins, and cannot be filled by the one losing the fourth seat of the three–year-term seats, an official said.
The General Elections are November 3.
