  1. TLS – NEED MORE INFO

    1. where should we park
    2. are any streets going to be blocked off
    3. which side can it be viewed
    4. how long does the fireworks last?

  2. He may not have the answers to those questions but I can always try. 1, Park as far away as possible unless you want to show up extremely early or get stuck in traffic. 2, ofcourse streets will be blocked off ie of north and south lake drive. 3, it can be seen from all around the lake and from roof tops from miles away and 4, how long does the fireworks last is improper english and they usually run 20 to 30 minutes

  3. Time it and let me know if I am right. Saturday is shabbos. A religious day where a good part of Lakewoods population can not drive or be in a motor vehicle. The township isnt the smartest but they arent that dumb to have it on a day where a large sum of the tow ships population wont be able to enjoy it

  4. A lot of towns across the country have done it like this for years. They give people the opportunity to go to bigger venues in the bigger cities. It’s a great show for are town or would you rather have nothing? You go and try and find parking, watch the show enjoy, walk a little, picnic, then try and find your car and go home. Enjoy!

  5. Actually, I seem to recall it is a cost thing. They need a strong police presence and then clean up crews. Although done at night… it is still cheaper to be done during the work week as opposed to on the weekend where the overtime is more expensive than at night.

  6. The reason they don’t and haven’t done it on July 4th for a number of years has nothing to do with shabbos. It is significantly cheaper to do it earlier.
