Trump Campaign Sets his Personal Fortune at $10 Billion

trump tlsRepublican presidential candidate Donald Trump unveiled new documents Wednesday setting his personal fortune at more than $10 billion and his annual income at more than $362 million.

The celebrity businessman said he filed a personal financial disclosure form with federal regulators Wednesday afternoon, though he has not released the form publicly. The $10 billion figure — up nearly 15 percent since the previous year, by Trump’s calculation — makes him the wealthiest person to ever run for president, far surpassing previous magnates like Ross Perot, business heirs like Steve Forbes or private-equity investors like Mitt Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee.

Among the sources of his income has been $214 million in payments from NBC related to his reality television show, “The Apprentice.” NBC recently cut its ties with Trump.

There was little information provided Wednesday about how Trump calculated the figure. In a statement that accompanied the financial information, his campaign wrote the federal forms are “not designed for a man of Mr. Trump’s massive wealth.”

“The numbers will be far in excess of what anybody thought,” Trump said during an appearance Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” ”I built a great company.”

Despite the filing, skepticism about his net worth is likely to remain. Read more in AP.

  1. Why is this even news? Who could care less that the most arrogant, unqualified, racist and incompetent man on the planet, who was rich from the day he was born, thinks that he’s worth $10 billion? I could say I’m worth $20 billion, but it doesn’t make it true. Forbes actually estimates Trump’s fortune is LESS than HALF of what Donald (as in “the duck”) claims. But the real problem here is not that Trump is a liar, but that he’s polling so high in the Republican primary! If Republicans want to lose the presidency yet again, just go ahead and give Trump the attention and prominence that just about everyone in the country deserves more than him.

  2. #1. Yeah you go vote for Hillary a fraud liar corrupt, Arab lover, leftist. Just another Obama who was the absolute worst president. The guy dismantle every part of our country and look at how the world on fire. And thanks to Obama, Iran will have the Bomb.
    Shame on you.

  3. @peter, I’m not sure how you reached the conclusion tht I like Obama or Hillary. I happen to be a conservative Republican who voted for McCain and Romney and supported santorum in 2012 until he dropped out. But if Trump gets nominated, I may not be able to vote for him, because he would turn our country into a further national disgrace by virtue of having an international laughingstock as our president. I could vote for any other candidate in the Republican field, nd I certainly don’t plan to vote for Hillary. But you can go ahead and kill the Republican party from within by voting for an elitist, arrogant, moronic and incompetent candidate who probably has trouble tying his own shoes in the morning. That’s a sure way to get Hillary elected in November.
    Shame on you.

  4. @sid, then I with you to an extent. I’m not a fan of Trump. I would like to see Kasich/walker ticket
But maybe Trump is what this country a no non sense person who not afraid to stand up.
I’m getting tired of this republican politicians look at those fools in congress all talk do nothing to stop Obama agenda.

  5. If you like Trump or not, he and only he, is bringing issues to the front of the debate, not like the rest of those running in either party that recite the same old words of no meaning.
We tried to elect a business man to run the State and Corzine (Democrat) sent the State into debt. New York City Elected Blomberg (Republican) and that worked well. Trump will brake the tie.

We should listen to what he says and not so much as to how he says it.

    He wants the Boarder secure.
He wants Israel safe and secure.
    He wants Jobs for Americans.
