Frum Lakewood Firefighter Among NJ Forest Fire Units Heading West to Battle Fires

lang tlsA Lakewood Volunteer Firefighter is among the New Jersey Forest Fire units heading towards the West coast to help battle the massive fires, TLS has learned.

Baruch Lang, of Station 64, joined the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department, and also this year took the National Forest Fire test.

Lang will be reporting to Division B headquarters in Whiting, NJ, from where he’ll receive his duty and fly out. He’s expected to remain there for approximately two weeks.

As earlier reported, the Forest Fire Units are being sent by the Christie Administration to assist in the battling of wildfires that are raging across parts of the Northwest, including Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and California. Tens of thousands of firefighters are currently battling the fires.

  1. Thank you! Stay safe. Lost three brave firefighters this week. Not too many would volunteer as you did. Don’t get the “thumbs down” to Chaim. Because he had a typo “say” not stay – really???

  2. So refreshing to see our very own do what we do best… help out another in their time of need. All the best to you Baruch…
Is by any chance Baruch the son of R’ Aron Lang?
