  1. No left turns allowed if the intersection does not have a light (both getting on to Rt 9 and getting off) – left turn only signals at all lights –

    widening the road will take years, but these two things will make it safer

    why do left turns getting on to rt 9 cause traffic? You can only turn left into rt 9 if there are no cars. As far as no turns exiting route 9 how do you propose getting onto that left side? Take oak street for example. I am traveing south on rt 9 and must turn left. Now what? Drive to chestnut turn left into chestnut (It has a turing light) and now what? Make a U turn in chestnut? You would need jughandles. Again very costly, and you would need to confistacte property via eimeniant domain.

  3. left turns cause traffic because cars inch out blocking lanes – I think it’s more of a safety concern and probably won’t help traffic much – I agree that jughandles would be better, but again too much money

    there really is no easy solution to this . . .
