Thanks for posting this. Almost forgot what today’s date was until I heard the sirens going off. Went outside twice to say a prayer. I personally know people who were murdered that day, and some of my family and friends trying to get out of the city that day. My prayers are with all the families who were so hurt that day.
anyone know why the tragedy of 9/11 occurred? i.e. every tragedy that happens R”L has a message-wake-up call-straight from Hashem.
the message of 9/11 is:
Do you know that 9/11 is our sad day for over 2000 years? תשעה באב, 9 is תשעה Av is 11 אלול is 12 & תשרי is 1, how does that grab you? How does that shock you? what about the phone number 911? that’s also 9/11 תשעה באב. that’s Americas emergency number for a minimum of 50 to 100 years, why didn’t they pick 111? are you going to tell me cause a baby might press 111 by mistake? These 2 tragedies-above-were only hint’s to tisha b’av, but it wasn’t enough to bring klal yisroel to start doing teshuva. So what happened ON tisha b’av 2005, i.e. no more hints to tisha b’av? Gush Katif/the Gaza Disengagement, it was supposed to happen on tisha b’av but they waited until Motzei tisha b’av, they did not even wait till the next morning, which means it was still tisha b’av in Chutz La’aretz (diaspora). Now let me ask you something, are these 3 tragedies-relating to tisha b’av-coincidence or is it a straight message from Hashem that its time for klal yisroel to wake up & do תשובה? You think about it, this is not between people, this is between each person & Hashem.
Now you can ask yourself this question & then you will understand what a message STRAIGHT FROM HASHEM means. Do you think you can find this wake-up message-above- in a sefer? do you think you can read it in a newspaper from someone who wrote this after 9/11 occurred? do you think I’m a navi (prophet) that this message can be coming from me? the only answer is that it came straight down from Hashem.
May we all do teshuva ASAP, so we won’t need any more tragic wake-up calls like 9/11.

MY 9/11 STORY : I was home in Marlboro and at 8:45am put three year old Brooke in her car seat to take her to Temple Shalom pre-school. I’d usually have News Radio 88 on but Brooke insisted on listening to the new Janet Jackson CD. At exactly 9am we pulled into the parking lot and I put on the news.They were saying something about a small plane hitting the WTC. We got out of the car just in time to see a huge jet scream overhead.That was the second plane !!! As we walked into the lobby all these women were grim and some were crying. When I asked they told me why. I dropped Brooke off in her class and drove home. An hour later I was called to pick her up as they were closing because so many parents had love ones at the Towers. Three died. When I got to the Synagogue it was surrounded by Aberdeen Township and NJ State police cars and heavily armed cops patrolling the grounds.
