  1. Maybe. But if they lower it they also have to widen it. Don’t do one and not the other. Also they should make day speed limit and night speed limit

  2. People will only go faster, not slower. Studies indicate these results in states with higher limits. We need MUCH better lighting and better road infrastructure so people aren’t always in retarded traffic. The result of sitting in crazy traffic is that when the driver finally gets out of the traffic jam, he/she will speed up to make up the lost time…..

  3. the issue is not speed, drivers should be VERY alert, and pedestrians – think if its a safe place to cross, look if its safe to cross then cross carefully

  4. This can’t be a serious question! I think most people reading this would giggle at the thought of a car speeding down Route 9 during the day!

  5. Maybe if people actually used the cross walks theyd be okay. Also people need to stop cutting from the right lane to make a quick left and vice versa. Just horrible drivers. Speed has nothing to do with any of this.

  6. oh, i get it. since no one can reach the posted speed limit… so they are considering lowering it to bring it down to the reality of the traffic flow…
