Today: Minyan Shelanu Invites Community to 2nd Annual Xtreme Runner Event

XTreme Runner_EventThe 2nd Annual Xtreme Runner event is taking place today, Sunday, October 18, and Minyan Shelanu invites all to the family event.

From Minyan Shelanu:

Come join us at Raceway Park and support the runners as they conquer the Xtreme obstacle challenge.

This year’s Xtreme runner event will prove to be a fun filled day with entertainment for the whole family. Rides and entertainment from traveling tykes, live musc from DJ isaac Jamal, scrumptious BB buffet & More.

Xtreme Runner is an obstacle mud run where runners will tackle a 3 mile obstacle course. This year’s race will be hosted at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.

There is a challenging professional new course that will test the runners’ emotional and physical strength and endurance. The obstacles will make the participants crawl, jump and run from start to finish. Although runners will be timed, the goal is to be able to complete the course, whether alone or with help and support from your friends along the way.

New this year, we added a separate Xtreme Runner event for women! Xtreme Runner is proud to be the first of its kind to offer women and girls the chance to be a part of an Xtreme obstacle challenge event like this.

The Cause:

All proceeds of Xtreme Runner event go toward Minyan Shelanu.

  1. Minyan Shelanu is “THE only place in Lakewood” where EVERYONE can, and does, come for ANY sort of help or support!! Be it a yeshiva-man, parent, teen, layman, yeshivish, not yeshivish, litvish, chasidish, sefardish, etc.

Minyan Shelanu is THE only place that caters to OUR teens 24/SEVEN/365. They have a full blown Shabbos program. Minyan Shelanu has made numerous Melava Malkas on sporadic Motzoei shabbosim. There were large turnouts. They have a major annual shabbaton with numerous inspiring rabbonim and askonim in attendance. There are many smaller scale shabbatons throughout the year – held in Lakewood and out.

They have shiurim given by prominent (yeshivish, litvish, chasidish, sefardish) Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbonim. There are daily – TWO minyanim for shachris, TWO minyanim for mincha, A packed night seder with chavrusos and maariv. Stop by any night to check it out!! (or join)

They have sent dozens of our boys and girls back to yeshiva. Many are already married and leading nice yiddisheh mishpachos. Some as yungerleit and others as fine baalei batim.

The Minyan girls program run by very experienced and devoted staff, has seen great success since its inception.

THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM HERE TO ELABORATE ON THE MANY ZECHUSIM AND HATZOLAS NEFOSHOS that The Minyan has done and continues to do.

All this is accomplished through their warm, devoted, caring ALL VOLUNTEER staff!

The minyan is a place where you may see a boy with long hair saying yehei shmay rabbah ‘bekol koichoy’! Yes THOSE children are OUR children, OUR klal Yisroel, OUR MINYAN– where every yochid feels that he/she CAN belong, and that belonging can keep THEM all afloat in order to keep THEM as part of US!!

Remember: These are OUR children! YES, OUR children! Not from NY or elsewhere. No parent or child should have to ever experience these trying situations.

So, please, open your hearts and support OUR (yours & mine) Minyan Shelanu!
Please show your support, and help them help you.
