PHOTOS: Misameach Patient Becomes Mayor and Police Officer for a Day in Honor of His Birthday

mis4It was a most memorable day for one Misameach boy, as he celebrated his seventh birthday in style. Misameach arranged an exciting birthday party for him in Town Hall, where Mayor Akerman awarded him a proclamation appointing him mayor of Lakewood for the day, and Police Captain Tommy Langenberger made him a Police Officer for the day.

Mayor Akerman then gave the young mayor a tour of the building, which encompassed many of the township departments, including the jail and the courthouse.

After the grand tour, the Misameach team, members of the township committee and the police department enjoyed a party in the “mayor’s” honor, which included live music with a singer, gifts, refreshments and a juggling show.

The party lasted for two hours and left one special boy feeling on top of the world.
