VIDEO: Alleged Drunk Driver Arrested after Causing Mayhem on Lakewood Street

dwi 1An alleged drunk driver crashed into multiple vehicles and causing serious damage before being arrested in Lakewood last night, officials said.

At around 9:30 PM, police and EMS responded to the intersection of Cedarbridge Avenue and Melville Avenue, where the found the mess caused by a single vehicle, and its apparent drunk driver.

Officials say the drink driver blew a stop sign, and then crashed into multiple vehicles, one of which ended up through a nearby fence, leaving debris sprawled across the road and lawn.

Only the driver was slightly injured, an official said.

Another source told TLS the suspect’s vehicle had fictitious plates.

He was given a sobriety test at the scene, and then taken into custody.

  1. the plates were actually nor from PA. It was a hand made paper license plate to look like it was a temporary plates from a car dealer… white paper with black print on it.
    the cop pulled it right off and said it was a stolen car:)

  2. Well, if the perp is not illegal, he has a nightmare on his hands. False plates, probably no license, no insurance and maybe even open warrants. If he is illegal, he’ll just go home and show up again in a few months and the cycle repeats itself. I was hit by an illegal a few years ago. He was not drunk but had phony license, plates and no insurance. My insurance co paid for my damages but they never found him again.
