9 Sifrei Torah, Hundreds of Seforim Destroyed in New Brunswick Shul to be Buried Today

misaskim in new brunswick shulThe nine Sifrei Torah and hundreds of Seforim destroyed in last month’s blaze at the Poile Zedek Shul, will be buried at 11 AM today.

The Levaya will leave from 145 Neilson St, New Brunswick, NJ, and arrive at the Poile Zedek Cemetery, 650 Joyce Kilmer Avenue.

A donation page was set up to try and raise enough funds to repair the Shul. Donations can also be made by sending a check to: Congregation Poile Zedek, PO Box 166, New Brunswick, NJ 08903.

  1. I was there with my husband and children and it was a tremendous kiddush Hashem. So many people from the East Brunswick and Edison/HP communities came to show their love and respect, and their sorrow, for the Sifrei Torah, the sefarim and the shul that was for many years one of the oldest and most beautiful in this region. Mi k’amcha Yisroel.
