Driver Airlifted to Hospital Following Accident on Cross St (PHOTOS)

A driver was airlifted to the hospital this morning after a serious accident on Cross Street, as reported on our news alerts.

The single-car accident occurred around 8:00 AM at the intersection for Cross Street and Faraday Avenue. The vehicle slammed into a tree, pinning the driver inside.

Lakewood First Aid’s extrication team was summoned to the scene.

The patient was airlifted to the hospital from the landing zone on Prospect Street.

Police have shut part of Cross Street as they investigate.
