This coming Sunday marks what would have been the Bar Mitzvah of David Sassoon Z”L, one of the Karbanos of the tragic fire that killed nearly all of the Sassoon family.
One local Rebbe asked each of his classes he teaches what they’d like to do in David’s honor, and they jumped at the opportunity.
One class is making a Siyum on Gitin, another is making a Siyum on the entire Tehillim, and another is making a Siyum Hashas Mishnayos.
When the Sassoons heard about this, they were extremely touched, and said they’d be attending the Siyum Hashas.
But it didn’t stop there.
Several other Yeshivas and Learning programs heard about this idea, and wanted to do the same.
This coming Motzei Shabbos and Sunday, the following Yeshivas and programs will be Learning in honor of David Z”L.
Beth Medrash Govoha, Lakewood Cheder, Avos Ubunim, Yeshiva Tiferes Torah, The Stamford Yeshiva, Shari Torah, Keter Torah, Ateret Torah, Shearit Ezra, Ohel Torah, and four Yeshivos in Eretz Yisrael.
