Another Lakewood family was wiped out of their valuables during a burglary, TLS has learned.
Sources say the family – in the 14th Street area – was away for the day Wednesday, and came home to find their home ransacked.
The burglar had allegedly made forced entry through a rear door to the home some time during the daytime hours, and proceeded to grab whatever possible.
Silver and other valuables were stolen.
A K-9 unit was called in to assist with the investigation.
A short time later, a suitcase containing some of the stolen items was located in a neighbor’s backyard, suggesting the burglar may have been frightened and dumped some of the more bulky items.
Another home in the vicinity was also broken into by breaking a glass door, though the burglar didn’t get away with the valuables.
Lakewood Detective Bureau and CSI are investigating the incidents.

WHY CANT THEY CATCH THESE GUYS ALREADY!!!!
In what neighborhood did this take place?
Att My Take:
Try a reading comprehension course!!
All Lakewood officials must be involved and looking in to this. Hello ? This is a huge story and is not going away. There must be pressure to take care of this immediately. The first few times it could happen now it is becoming ridiculous.
we have to set up traps.
Who keeps $100,000 worth in their home?
They wouldn’t find the guys or the items.
Please everyone get sufficient alarm systems and use them!! Also all money and Jewelery should be kept in safes.
Get a pet dog to watch over the house, at least when it barks it can scare away someone.
