Child Struck on Ocean Avenue by Hit and Run Driver

hit run ocean aveA child was struck be a vehicle this morning on Ocean Avenue, and the driver fled the scene, police say.

The incident occurred around 8 AM at the intersection of Congress Street and Route 88.

The driver reportedly ran over the 6-year-old child’s foot, and then fled the scene.

The child was transported to Ocean Medical Center.
