mayor and dsgt staffordsmithMayor Menashe Miller and Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith, who were instrumental in retrieving the clothing of hundreds of residents from the shut Walter’s cleaners, were on hand at the DPW this morning to ensure everything runs as planned.

The clothing items, says Mayor Miller, were all cleaned and will be returned to customers at no cost.

Another batch of clothing is being brought to the Department of Public Works (1 America Way) tomorrow and will be available for pickup at the same place, the Mayor tells TLS.

Officials say it was a manager that allegedly made off with the clothing without the knowledge of the owner. The owner was on hand today at the DPW and being very helpful, officials said.
