Lakewood Residents an Neighborhood Shaken up after man mistakenly walks into Wrong Home

lcsw lpdOne Lakewood neighborhood thought it was the escaped convict who walked into a residence, shaking up the family.

At approximately 7:30 PM Wednesday, a man walked into a Kew Gardens Drive home, saying “hello, hello,” but the wife was not expecting her husband to be home as he was out of town.

As the person walked closer to her, the terrified resident grabbed her children, locking herself in her bedroom and phoned police and her husband.

Police arrived with guns drawn, but the man had already left the home.

The word immediately spread throughout the neighborhood, prompting neighbors to phone LCSW and police, thinking perhaps it was the escaped convict who made his way into Lakewood.

Messages immediately began circulating with residents warning each other to keep their doors locked as an intruded may be in the area.

LCSW tells TLS they had patrols out until around 2:30 AM in the area, but today managed to piece together information, and were able to identify the party.

It turns out, says LCSW, the man was invited to a home in the area, but mistakenly walked into the wrong home.
