Agudah NJ Director: “Block-busting-style plan” and “decree” ostensibly plotted by representatives of Agudath Israel of America totally groundless

jackson twp tlsAgudath Israel this evening stated that the Jackson Township’s complaint about a “block-busting style plan” and “decree” ostensibly plotted by representatives of Agudath Israel of America is totally groundless.

“There is no such plan, no such decree,” Agudah New Jersey Director Rabbi Avi  Schnall told TLS. “Encouraging members of Agudath Israel’s growing constituency to consider affordable housing opportunities in new neighborhoods is simple sound advice.”

rabbi schnall tlsAgudath Israel encourages all to live as good neighbors, with respect, tolerance, and sensitivity, says Rabbi Schnall.

“We urge the local New Jersey municipalities to practice total fairness in housing and for houses of worship and schools. Homeowners deserve to be free from harassment and pressure tactics, and prospective buyers are entitled to seek affordable housing without being discriminated against because of their religion.”

  1. Agudath yisroel should contact the DOJ you all can go to the jackson township website and listen to an hour of pure antisemitsim on their last township meeting JUL 27 .we have to sue this township members in federal court for discrimination and hate

  2. People don’t worry, the louder scream the more of a panic they are in, and right now they are in panic mode, and there’s really nothing they can do about it, Jews are moving into Jackson every day, it is a free country, and the Jews that are moving in are law abiding citizens. Fair housing laws are very strict with discrimination . the funny thing is that all the original “Jackson Strong ” initiators on my block have all sold out .

  3. @ mmm – What’s so criminal about it? DOJ wouldn’t get involved in this small neighborly squabble. You think you can just sue so easily? Also I can’t imagine the repercussions. Maybe daven a bit stronger for Hashems continued protection.

  4. I suggest you go to the next township meeting and see the hate in there eyes . not only that in the end of the meeting they discussed how to prevent us jews from building a shul in jackson which is a clear violation of the religious land use Act ,and yes DOJ would get involved on this , if they are going to DOJ we should expose them ,the only repercussions would be that they would have to stop discriminating against us

go to the jackson township website the last meeting on JUL 27 is recorded

  5. i personally meet the mayor he is a nice guy who has to deal with this garbage the town felt that got to keep the masses silent they know nothing will come of it on the other hand the masses are ignorant and generally anti orthodox most of the town officials are not i live in jackson and love it long as i told the person who started this whole story that such a story will only cause another 50 homes to sell so thanks

  6. Please, lets use grammar; spelling, etc: there (as in – hey look, there is that restaurant we’ve been looking for; or, there is his/her house…

Their, a possessive, as in: their (belonging to) – house, car, keys, sidewalk, book, children, etc..

  7. To Raintree #6. And don’t forget to point out that “they’re” means “they are”. The “ignorant masses” confuse that one too.
