Beach in Lakewood’s Ocean County Park shut due to high bacteria count

A water sample taken at the beach at Lakewood’s Ocean County Park has prompted the closure of the beach to swimming.

“More samples were taken today and more information will be available tomorrow,” the County said. “This is a first high count, but due to the high number, the beach is closed to swimming.”
