candleWe regret to inform you of the Petirah of Rav Shmuel Kaufman Z”L, a veteran Mechanech in Detroit who was Niftar today. He was 82.

Reb Shmuel is the father of Rabbi Yonah Kaufman of Monsey, Fraidel Goldberg of Montreal, Rabbi Meir Kaufman of Toronto, Rabbi Dovid Kaufman of Monsey, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Kaufman of Zurich Switzerland, Rabbi Boruch Kaufman of Far Rockaway, NY, brother of Rabbi Yosef Kaufman of New York, Mrs. Nechama Jonas of Detroit, and Soroh Cohen of Brooklyn.

He was also the grandson of All For The Boss Harav Yaakov Yosef Herman ZT”L, and nephew of Harav Pinchas Scheinberg ZT”L.

The Levaya will be taking place at 7pm in Detroit, and 11:30 am Friday morning at the Lakewood Cheder on Vasser Avenue.
