After weeks of anticipation and excitement about the first-ever live video hookup from the home of Maran Posek Hador Rav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita, Ra’avad of the Eidah Hachareidis, the day is finally here. Lakewood will get to see the Ra’avad up close and personal; a rare glimpse of Gadlus!

The annual Reb Meir Baal Hanes Kollel Shomrei Hachomos Lakewood dinner will take place tonight, Tuesday, July 26, in the Tiferes Simcha hall at Tiferes Bais Yaakov, 613 Oak Street in Lakewood. The program will include brief Divrei Bracha by Lakewood’s own Satmar Dayan, Rav Mordechai Betzalel Klein Shlita as well as a powerful guest speaker, Rav Ahron Weinberg, grandson of the Slonimer Rebbe Zatzal and dynamic Magid Shiur in Yeshiva Ohr Hachaim. Rav Weinberg is renowned for his stirring oratory skills and his participation in this event will surely be electrifying.

This year’s dinner is being held L’Zecher Nishmas Reb Eliezer Moshe Bernath Z”L, a member of the Hanhala of Kollel Shomrei Hachomos as well as a staunch supporter of their holy work, most notably via “Binyanei Bernath” in Eretz Yisroel. The “Gabai Award” will be presented to his grandson, Shmuel Dov Bernath, who follows in the great footsteps of his illustrious grandfather. The chairman of the dinner will be noted Lakewood Askan, Reb Yaakov Nissin Friedman, who is extremely involved in the success of Kollel Shomrei Hachomos as well as many other Mosdos.

Scores of questions were submitted for the Ra’avad Shlita, and he will answer as many of the questions as possible in the allotted time. It is sure to be a not-to-be-missed experience to witness first-hand how one of the greatest Gedolim of our generation takes time out of his schedule to respond to the inquiries that are important to the members of our Kehila in Lakewood.

Special gifts have been prepared for donors at the dinner, in appreciation for their support and an elegant hot buffet by Tessler caterers will be served as well. There are many reasons to attend, and no reason to miss it!
