Man dead in Lakewood from apparent drug overdose

ems tlsA man died today from what appears to be a drug overdose, sources confirm to TLS.

The approximately 40-year-old man was reportedly staying with family on River Avenue when he was found unresponsive.

Officers and EMS rushed to the home but before they could administer Narcan they realized he was no longer breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lakewood Detective Bureau and CSI responded for the investigation.

  1. Very sad don’t wish on any one but these drugs are not to be taking lightly! You don’t know what people are mixing with them.Hope this opens eyes for others on heavy drugs!

  2. If the other 1,000 reported overdose cases in ocean county hasn’t opened up eyes yet, it’s not happening. This is an addiction not a hobby. They need professional help. Not 10 more chances to overdose knowing narcan is only a phone call away. It’s should be legal actions if you have to use narcan more than once to the same individual on different occasions.
