[PHOTOS BELOW] A man was robbed at gunpoint last night in Lakewood, as reported at the time on our News Alerts.
At about 10:15 PM, Officer Jeffrey Emmons was flagged down while driving past the Singin Gas Station on Hurley Avenue.
Further investigation revealed that a 37-year-old Jackson man had been robbed at gunpoint approximately 20 minutes earlier by an unidentified black male, said Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith.
“The victim reported that he was approached by the suspect while he was speaking with two friends,” Staffordsmith said. “The suspect pointed a gun at them and ordered them to walk down the railroad tracks just a short distance away.”
While there, the armed gunman took approximately $275 from the victim before fleeing from the area, Satffordsmith said.

Can someone explain what is the purpose of a picture if its blurred? Im not saying that tls should post a picture if a victim but if you do post then why blur it? To see a pic of a few cops?
Details are incorrect or missing from this story. 3 men are robbed at gunpoint. 20 mins later they flag down a cop. Did it not occur to anybody to dial 911 and call the cops in the 20 minute interim?
Maybe they didn’t have a phone or were forced down the tracks behind the liquor store and kept walking

Lol. Robbery?? Drug dealer gone wrong.By wrong I mean. He paid for drugs, was told to wait by the tracks, and the guy nor his drugs ever showed. So he calls the police and says he got robbed. Knowing that area what other reason would you be out there around 10:30..
