UPDATE: Howell Police Chief on Bias Swastika Incident: We take these matters very seriously

3The Howell Police Chief said today they are taking the bias Swastika incident very seriously, and a thorough investigation is underway.

“Chief Andrew Kudrick wanted the public to be assured the Howell Police Department takes matters such as these very seriously and that a thorough investigation is underway,” the Department said in a statement.

As first reported on TLS earlier today, multiple Swastikas were found spray-painted at the Echo Lake Park – a park often visited by members of the Jewish community.

“The matter is under investigation by the Howell Police Department and we are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) in this case,” police said.

  1. I would suggest Chief Justice start with his own officers first. Howell officers have a nasty habit of traumatizing Jewish children. Last week Howell police boarded a school bus after someone threw a wrapper out of a window. They boarded tbe bus like storm troopers threatening to throw all the five and six year olds in jail.
A few months ago on a serious accident on route 9, instead of providing aid and comfort to a bunch of injured kids, Howell officers ran around screaming how they were going to arrest the mother (they were obviously not used to large families and anything more than 2 kids in a family was unacceptable to them. The “infant” that they claimed wasn’t in an infant seat was three years old) bystanders were shocked atvthe cruelty of these officers.
Yup – these incidents don’t happen in a vacuum. There’s an endemic problem in our not so neighborly towns.

  2. A three year old has to be in a car seat by law (and dumb not to be in one even if not required). If he wasn’t it could be considered negligence.

  3. I know chief Andy Kudrick well for a long time. he is the nicest guy out there and a real mentch. He is very sensitive to Jewish matters. Mistakes happen. Andy is definitely not to blame. Bringood it to his attention he will fix it.

  4. Howell cops are known for stirring the pot.. they like to inflate the situation and make every one guilty until otherwise proven. They could use some additional training. I had a run in with a young officer he was pretty nice until his Sargeant showed up then he morphed into a moderated
