UPDATE: Motorcyclist dies in Toms River Crash involving 17-year-old Driver

toms river pd trpd tlsA serious accident involving a motorcyclist last night in Toms River has left a man dead, police said today.

On August 4th at 10:14 pm Police and EMS units responded to the intersection of Wave Way and Harbor View Lane for a motor vehicle crash.

Zachary Kane, 26, of Bayview drive was traveling East on Wave way on a 2012 Yamaha Motorcycle, and a 2009 Nissan Altima was being driven south on Harbor View by a 17-year-old male from Crowder Drive, police say. At the intersection the two vehicles collided.

Mr. Kane was taken by medevac helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune New Jersey. He died as a result of his injuries early this morning.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

    There are many frum people in Lakewood that own motorcycles. Not every motorcycle owner dies as a result of riding a motorcycle. Your comment is nonsense. Please do us all a favor and change your username.

    A frum motorcycle owner thats still alive.

  2. Yes I am a female and yes I own and ride a motorcycle and it is NOT the motorcycle that usually causes the accident but the careless driver in the car that won’t get hurt!
