UPDATED: Dive team searches lake after finding submerged vehicle (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

2016-09-28-photo-00001357[VIDEO BELOW] The Lakewood dive team is searching Lake Carasaljo after a vehicle was found submerged in the water.

The vehicle was spotted around 7 AM, and was nearly fully submerged.

As of about 8AM, police say they have found nobody around the vehicle, and are still searching. The vehicle has been pulled from the water.

UPDATE 9:25 AM: Officials say the search has been terminated after the owner of the vehicle was found safely. The owner, who was not in the vehicle at the time, is said to be an elderly dementia patient.

It appears the vehicle was left in drive at the North Lake park, and rolled into the lake.
