[VIDEO BELOW] Lakewood Police Chief Greg Meyer today announced the arrests of men responsible for nearly 30 vehicle burglaries in Lakewood.
As earlier reported, over 20 vehicles were burglarized over last weekend in the Chestnut Street area, with thefts taking place in about 15 of those vehicles.
Chief Meyer says the Detective Bureau managed to track down and charge several individuals related to the spree. One suspect is still at large.
Fritzley Francois, 29 years old, of Lakewood, was arrested for Burglary, Theft and Conspiracy to commit Burglary and Theft.
Rahmel Jones (pictured left), 26, was also charged with Burglary, Theft, as well as numerous Fraudulant use of a Credit Card. He is still at large.
The Chief also reminds residents ahead of the upcoming Yom Tov to ensure their homes and vehicles are secure at all times.
Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office will be assisting Lakewood with patrolling over Yom Tov.
