MORE HATE: Jewish Homes and Vehicles Egged in Toms River (PHOTOS)

7[PHOTOS BELOW] As numerous recent bias incidents have proven, some of our neighbors can’t stand Jews, and more incidents over the weekend have again proven that fact.

For the past two days, Jewish residents on two mainly-Frum streets have woken up to find eggs dripping down their vehicles and home windows and doors.

“As a Toms River resident, I feel it’s unfortunate for people to express any kind of hatred in such a manner,” a Frum Toms River resident told TLS. He added, “I have full faith that the police department will find and hold accountable those responsible for this act.”

As earlier reported, approximately 100 Frum families moved into the Township over the past two years.

  1. This is horrible. On many levels. But – People should know that security cameras arre inexpensive. You can have a pro do it for you or, as it is low-voltage, you can do it yourself. If just 1 or 2 guys get caught, it would be a deterrent to everyone else. L’ma’an Yishme’u V’yira’u !!

  2. This sounds like an isolated incident. I’ve been living in Toms River for a while and my non Jewish neighbors are the nicest people. I believe over time the residents of Toms River are beginning to see that all the hate and misinformation that they read on some hateful blogs are totally false. As they get to know the Orthodox Jewish residents they realize we are normal people with different customs and they accept and respect that. In truth there are just a few immature cowards who will eventually be caught and all this nonsense will end.

    Sincerely,
A proud and happy Jewish Toms River Resident

  3. When I moved south of the Lake in Lakewood, I was one of the first small group of Frum people to do so. Guess what? I had my house egged too. As one comment said, “We are in Golus” These reminders should keep us on our toes and we should remember not to get too comfortable, even in this most welcoming stop on our Golus journey.

  4. Hang on friends. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Don’t forget what is coming to Blue Claws Stadium from this Friday through Sunday. We’ll be lucky if it’s only eggs thrown at us…

  5. To toms river resident…which real estate firm do u work for?

I’m an ordinary person living in Toms River with a positive attitude toward my non Jewish neighbors. You sound like the few paranoid residents that I was referring to. I would also advise you to get informed and learn about your friendly Jewish neighbor who has done nothing wrong to you. So please chair up. There are lots of nice people out there. You just have to get to know them.

  6. I also may add that becoming a Real Estate broker has never crossed my mind. As a Orthodox Jewish resident I support the No Knock Ordnance 100%. Having said that there are no Real Estate brokers harassing anyone at this point. So please don’t use that as an excuse to be so bitter. I’m assuming your a level headed individual and you would put some thought in to what I’m telling you.

  7. I guess some people don’t like having to move out of their town

David no one is asking anyone to move out of their town. All we ask is to respect one another wether you are African American, Latino, Crist, Jewish or Muslim. Period!

  8. #16–TR Resident:
FYI—the term is not “Crist”–its CHRISTIAN. Its interesting how you can get the other groups spelled correctly in your aim at respecting one another but not that one–

  9. There were many homes egged Unfortunately I am not Supporting it but tis the season of Halloween. Orthodox homes and non orthodox homes were involved. Many residents non Orthodox and Orthodox just want a nice peaceful life. My question is why were only 2 homes mentioned in this article.?

  10. To #19
The answer to your question would be A) Because if in fact other homes were hit by eggs they should have been reported to the Police. B) How is the scoop supposed to know about it if they haven’t reported it.

    To #20
I like your sense of humor. Your funny!

  11. Reply to why police were not called. As I stated before not a practice I agree with however it’s been going on for years. It’s mischief season. We are all used to it. Lots of practical jokers. People don’t call the police because it’s silly pranks. As is taking garbage cans and moving them down the street. Forking a home. Toilet papering trees. Putting streamers in trees. Switching out decorative outside ornaments with those of your neighbors. These pranks have been done for years. That is why police are not called.
