A fair has rented out the entire Pine Park in Lakewood for the weekend, shutting the park to all not attending the fair.
DPW Director Patrick Donnelly told TLS the Renaissance Faire has rented out the entire park for Saturday and Sunday, and there is an admission fee for those who wish to attend.
The park will reopen on Monday.

Isn’t pine park a public Park ? How can they rent it out ?
The Township rents it out to make money!
Renaissance Fair has been held for over 30 years.
It’s a tremendous chutzpa that the township would rent out an entire public park for an entire weekend depriving the public. How much money do they get even , that it would be worth it.
There r other parks in town
How childish of you all. The Renassance Fair IS for the public. Just because you don’t appreciated the fair doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. I have been attending this fair for over 25 years with my family.
Wow, you guys must be new in town. The Ren Fair has been held here for decades AND is open to the public….as are the other parks in town if you’re not interested.
Ren Faire has been a tradition for decades. If you have an organization that wants to rent the park they can do the same as Ren Faire. Ren Faire has been booked in advance for decades. Why the outcry now?
i was there today as many other yiden was very nice and kids loved the animals. also heard next year there will also have kosher snacks
Why is my comment not being posted?
The Lakewood Lions Club GIVES back!
I was reading the Program that my family picked up at the faire this Sunday. It stated that they give to The Lehman School, Scholarships for Lakewood highschool, Eye tests and glasses for the needy, hearing aids for the needy, Juvenile Diabetes, Camp Marcella, Lions Eye Bank, and so many more.
This event is one weekend out of 52 weekends a year. We as a community can give a little slack for such a good cause.
My kids loved riding the horses, and we saw many yiden walking around the park.
This was their 35th anniversary, lets support them and help to make them reach it to their 50th.
