  1. This is NOT a 23 cent increase!
It should be more accurately described as a $3.50 increase!
That is approximately how much more the average driver will pay each time he gets gas.

  2. It the tax a FIRM 23 cent increase on a gallon no matter where the price of gas goes?

Or is it a 12.5 PERCENT tax in a gallon and therefore it be more than 23 cents a gallon if the price of gas goes up?

  3. The cowards did it late Friday hoping no one would find out.
Lets remember them in November, throw them all out. If you think this new money will be for the repair of our roads you are as foolish as they think we are.
Stop the madness throw them OUT!!!!!!!

  4. The deal also lowers some taxes. It eliminates taxes on most pensions as well as the estate tax. This means your parents can move to Lakewood from New York without having to shell out thousands of dollars in additional taxes.

  5. Sales tax also goes down 1 point. So for example if it costs you an extra $3 to fill up and you fill up twice a week it’s about $300 a yr extra. If you spend over $30k a yr on taxables you save money. A no brainer.

  6. Give the $1,000 deposit for the new Tesla Model 3.
No Gas, No Oil Changes, Discounted Tolls, better pick up than a Ferrari, loaded with reliable technology , 240 mile range , charging stations popping up everywhere, (BMW & Mercedes EV’s only have a 50 mile range , are smaller & have less stuff)
After rebates it should cost way under $30,000.
And you will do Eretz Yisroel a favor

  7. I don’t mind them raising the gas as long as they extend 2 lanes down route 9 with the money (but they most probably won’t bec the ppl. In the government steal our money & don’t help us out when we need them )

  8. Christie’s parting shot. This is from another news source: “New Jersey spends just over $2 million per state-controlled mile on construction, maintenance and administration, more than eight times the national average of $162,200.”

This is all due to corruption of the State’s part.
